Deledao (Web Filter)

1. Foundation

1.1. Import from Google Classroom

Step 1. This is essentially the same as a “scene” in GoGuardian. While in the Manage Classroom tab, click on “All Site Banks” near the top of the screen.

Step 2. Select the “+” sign next to “All Classrooms” and enter a name for the site bank (i.e. Treppa).

Step 3. If you would like to make the site bank your default site bank check "Save as Default" box. Otherwise, it will use the district settings. If you want block all websites and only allow the websites in the allowed list, check "Block all websites by default". 

Step 4. Select the number of tabs you will allow students to have open at one time. Zero indicates unlimited. 

Step 5. Type (or copy and paste from the address bar) the websites you wish to allow, then click “Add”.Step 6. Type (or copy and paste from the address bar) the websites you wish to block, then click “Add”.

Step 6. To remove a website from either the “allowed” or “blocked” list, check the box preceding the web site and click “Delete Selected”.

Step 7. Note that you have the ability to share your “Site Bank” with other teachers.

Step 8. When finished, click Save. After saving the site bank, your new site bank will show to the left.

To view a live screen, chose the student and click 'Connect'.  Once connected, users will see the student's live screen and the open tabs.

Send Message - Engage in conversation with students by clicking the dialogue icon in the student's window. The teacher will see the student's response in the bottom right of the screen. 

Lockdown Browser - Lockdown a student's browser

Close Tab - Remotely close tabs by clicking the 'x' button near the webpages in an individual student's monitoring window

Open Tab - Open the student's tab in your browser.  The student's tab will open in a new tab on the instructor's browser.

1.3. Create A Site Bank

1.4. Student Unblock Request

Step-by-Step Instructions (you can download these instructions with illustrations using the download option on this page): 

Step 1.
If a student gets a message from Deledao indicating the website has been blocked, a button is included in the error message that allows the student to request that the teacher unblock a website.

Step 2.
If a student clicks on this button, a message is sent to the teacher and will appear in the “Unblock Requests” tab. The teacher can approve or deny the request.

Notes:
If a website has been unblocked, it will remain unblocked for 30 days. A website can be unblocked permanently by clicking the “Add to Allow List” button on the Unblock Request and choosing the rules to add the allowed site and select “Add to Allow List”.
